What is an iPass?
Think of iPass as the modern replacement for the traditional paper hallway pass — only smarter. Instead of handing out slips of paper, students can request a digital pass right from their device. Each pass is tied to a real location, a time limit, and a room (or classroom) badge number, giving you full visibility and control.
How students create an iPass
- 1Navigate to the iPass screen in the iPass app or web portal
- 2Tap "New iPass"
- 3Select a location (e.g., Restroom, Boys) — locations and their rules are set by you as the admin
- 4Choose a duration (in minutes)
- 5Enter their classroom's badge number to authorize the pass
About badge numbers
Every room (or classroom) has an assigned set of badge numbers. Students enter one of these numbers when creating an iPass. Badge numbers are assigned consecutively, with a current limit of 150 per school.
